Sloppy Line Spacing Foils Fraud

We all get the emails urging us to ‘update our bank details due to attempted fraud’, or to send our details over email as a ‘security check’, but with just a little more attention to the basics of type and layout, these fraudsters might get a bit further. This example of sloppy leading arrived in the inbox recently and the terrible layout immediately raised suspicions, (well, that and the fact I’ve never been a customer, let alone a valued customer, of HSBC).

The devil, as they say, is in the detail.
