Logo-a-Go-Go!

“Why is everyone so obsessed with logo’s?” asks a designer/artist friend as he recounts the various funding applications he’s had to fill in where the sheet containing all the partner and funder logo’s has taken up as much space as the application itself. He mentions this as we’re walking past the Anderston station of Strathclyde Police and rightly points out that the Strathclyde logo, which no doubt ran into 10’s of thousands of pounds to design and produce is more or less obsolete as it always features next to the words ‘police’, which is the critical bit of information anyone wanting the police would be looking for.

The conversation then led to the collective noun for a group of logo’s. “A flock of logo’s?” we wondered, but we were sure there must be a collective term better than that. “A rash…?”
